Welcome back!

We hope you all had a lovely relaxing break and ready for another busy term.

Our theme for the summer term is "Welcome to Wonderland!" and came in on Wednesday to find our classroom being transformed and have added lots to this over the past few days.

We have made some giant daisies to decorate the classroom and have also created some super 'Spring' art work that will be displayed this weekend (22nd-23rd April) at Halesworth Gallery between 10:30am-4:30pm.

We will begin our topic by looking at the classic story 'Alice in Wonderland' and then move on to other wonderland stories and settings.

This week we had a go at finding out which places are the best for reading and concentrating on our work - and which places are really tricky to work in!
We decided that the best places to read are flat and somewhere where it is easy to sit. It also helps if they are quieter, so there are less distractions - as we realised Alice found out at the start of the book!

We had to unfortunately say 'Good-bye' to both Sophia B and Daniella this week as they are off to new schools - we wish them all the luck in the world in their new classes and will miss them lots!

Home Learning

I would like you all to spend some time practising all of the spelling words given last half term this weekend, as we will be checking to see what you have remembered next week!

Please also read at least a few pages of your reading book to an adult and have them sign your journal over the weekend - we will be giving extra house points to everyone that does and will be arrange a special treat if every single child in the class completes this challenge!
