We have been enjoying lots of 'silly poems' in Class 2 this week, using our phonics to help us decode new words. We have been hunting for rhyming words and repeating patterns in the texts we read and have started to identify and use some adjectives in poems and rhymes.

In Maths we have been working on our subtraction (take-away) skills and Year 1 had great fun competing against each other in a special addition and subtraction game!

Year 2 have been working really hard with some much bigger numbers and trying to use number facts they already know, such as number bonds to 10, to help them work out missing numbers.

We had a great time walking down to Grove Piece on Thursday to see the bit of land that the Blyth Woods group will be creating a new woodland on - thank you to them and all the parents that could join us!

Samuel was in the Golden Book this week for a super piece of science work about the weather - well done!

Home Learning -
Due Thursday 24th November

Your challenge this week is to teach someone at home 'Stick 'em up' to help you learn your 2 times table.
See if you can do the whole thing without stopping...!

5 house points will be given to any children that can show me they can do this by next Thursday!
