** We hope you are managing to stay safe **

** and warm in this freezing weather! **

As we have not been able to get into school for a few days now, here are some activities you might like to have a go at!

Year 1 and 2:

How many adjectives can you think of to describe the snow? See if you can write some down.
Why not have a competition with someone you are spending the day with and see who can think of the most - or the most interesting!
Year 2 - can you use them in some expanded noun phrases - remember, this is 2 or more adjectives and uses a comma and the word 'and' to join them together.

Year 1 -

Can you make these numbers using objects you find around the house?
For example, to make the number 5, I might find 5 cups.
Then can you write down the numbers and how many tens and ones are in each one? You could have an adult give you some other numbers too if you want more of a challenge!

Year 2 -

What are the other multiplication facts we know for each one? Can you write them down?
For example - if we know 2 x 3 = 6 we also know 3 x 2 = 6 !

If you fancy a challenge, have an adult give you some more multiplication calculations and see if you can draw arrays to find the answers.
