Sunday 13 October 2019

This week we have continued to explore our environment and our work on habitats, going on a minibeast hunt and recording what we found.

Taking the 'rumpus' from Where the Wild Things are, we taking about what the Wild Things and Max might be thinking, feeling and doing at this point in the story - then we had a go at having our own Class 2 rumpus!

On Friday we had a go at some problem solving in Maths - we had to make patterns and sequences using different shapes and colours - sometimes we had to start with a certain shape and other times we had to use particular combinations of shapes together.
Each time we could only change 1 thing - the colour or the shape - which was quite tricky, but lots of pairs worked amazingly well together to solve each problem. Some pairs even found several ways to solve one example - FANTASTIC!

Home Learning
Due Thursday 17th October

Again you have a choice of 4 tasks this week - please complete 1 of these in your book and return it to school by Thursday.

If you are not sure what to do or you need any resources please ask and we will be happy to provide these for you.

Please also make sure you read your reading book to an adult and practice your spelling words.

Don't forget, Mr S is back with us at Wenhaston on Monday 14th to work with us some more.
Parents/carers are again invited to come and chat with him at 2:15 and hear more about his approach to developing a lifelong love of thinking and learning. We hope to see lots of you there!
